Two months ago, he arrived in Curahuasi to volunteer at the Diospi Suyana hospital. Dr. Jair Uriarte, who is from Lima, did his work with lots of enthusiasm even though, as a volunteer, he wasn’t getting paid.

Yesterday, I asked him that exact question. His answer was heartfelt: A year ago, I became a believer. Jesus’ love totally convinced me. It is an honor to offer up my work at the missionary hospital.
His attitude commands our respect. But that said Jair still needs to be able to pay for his living expenses.That’s why we offered him a full-time, paid position at the hospital.
