Searching for an intensive care bed or oxygen drives many (Peruvians) into utter despair. Family members are prepared to give everything in order to save the lives of their loved ones. They plunder their savings, borrow money and even sell their houses and cars. They swap everything so that their loved ones who are severely ill due to the pandemic get a treatment.
