Marion Hofmann mobilises her former boss
A company is staging a farewell party. A last time for many years Marion Hofmann is standing next to her boss, Herbert Breitenberger of Evonik Industries, looking into a camera. Pictures on the wall behind her reveal the place she was going to travel to: a hospital for Indians in southern Peru. While Herbert Breitenberger was not happy to see his dynamic colleague leave for an overseas country, he also understood that, ultimately, a calling is more important than a professional job.
Recently, Diospi Suyana Hospital needed good quality labels to carry out an inventory of objects. A Peruvian product did not prove as durable as expected, unfortunately, as labels came off in windy and nasty weather conditions, turning the print illegible.
Marion suddenly remembered S+P SAMSON GmbH. Hadn’t they always provided her former boss with first rate quality labels? Subsequently, Herbert Breitenberger was hired as a “Diospi Suyana agent” as it were. He then did a great job in persuading Harald Oberrieder, head of sales at S+P Samson.
Labels of sufficient quantity were indeed donated to us. As Harald Oberrieder remarked in an email, the 10,000 km delivery to Peru was probably the longest journey ever for any S+P Samson labels.
