It could end up with a district
In December of last year, we reported about the occupation of land in a private field on the outskirts of Curahuasi. The police have not cleared the area in the past two months. Instead, some of the squatters have built solid block houses. The events are an expression of a certain lawlessness here in Peru. As soon as the first paths are marked out, the starting of a new residential area on stolen ground is hard to reverse.
