Neither the patients nor the women working at the hospital had expected this. At the end of the morning service on Mother’s Day, all mothers were honored and given a gift of chocolate, an excellent provider of encouragement and energy. Also included was a bible verse.
In South America, it is the the women who carry the heaviest burden, especially when it comes to taking care of their families. Often times, they have to provide for the family’s living while the men are absent.
