Saturday afternoon: from 5:10p.m. Peruvian Time a potential of 0.1 million new listeners
Scorching heat and cold temperatures at night, rain, mud and darkness: they all could not stop Chris Welch, Doris Manco and their 10-man team from completing their task within six days. From a hill with 2.5KW Radio Diospi Suyana is now broadcast on 96.1FM in the Province Andahuaylas. This means that now 0.33mio people in the States of Madre de Dios, Apurimac and Puno are living in our radio programme’s catchment area.
The last two years were difficult in every respect. Countless legal hurdles needed to be overcome and thousands of kilometres in the south of the country had to be travelled.
Was it worth it? Definitely. And what is next? We will continue working extremely hard.
