Dream big

South American youth magazine “ConTacto” presents Diospi Suyana’s story

In many South American countries the magazine “ConTacto” is distributed to youths.  The theme of the current edition is life’s dreams.  “Do you believe that the biggest dreams can become a reality defying all prognoses and probabilities?” asks the author.  On page 3 she gives the answer herself as she tells her readership about the experiences at Diospi Suyana.

Hard work, patience and determination are surely helpful when realising a life’s project.  But at Diospi Suyana God’s supernatural hand became visible: “Klaus and Tina experienced that God can do lots more than we can even dream of…. We all need examples and role models to follow.  Diospi Suyana stands in the tradition of Georg Müller who 150 years ago founded an orphanage for 10,000 street children in Bristol.  He in turn was impressed by pastor and theologian August Hermann Franke who founded a manifold charitable work in Halle at the start of the 18th century.  For both Georg and August their faith in the real power of God was trigger and guarantee of their phenomenal successes.  Which is also why both of them trusted fully in the power of prayer.
