Diospi Suyana donates a water-tower for the volunteer fire-brigade

The idea, the concept and the implementation: Oebele de Haan

A festive celebration marked Diospi Suyana donating a 5,000 litre water-tower for Curahuasi’s volunteer fire-brigade.  Over the past few weeks Oebele de Haan, head of our workshop-department, had welded the metal structure together.  Thanks to his initiative the city’s “Bomberos” now have an adequate water reserve in their headquarters.

For 12 years now the voluntary staff of the fire-brigade and Diospi Suyana have worked very well together.  In their addresses missionary doctors John paid the firemen and -women their highest respect.  Whilst dealing with severe accidents they would often put their own lives at risk in order to save the lives of the injured persons.  At every hour of the night or of the day whenever a vehicle falls into a canyon in the District of Curahuasi the Bomberos climb into the depths looking for survivors.

The Johns directed the words “It is an honour for us to be allowed to support you!” directly to the firemen.  Since Oebele de Haan designed the water-tank we have no doubt that it will function perfectly!

It works: water flows from the hose-pipes.
