Pastor Dietmar Bräunig had already had contact with Diospi Suyana through a Christmas offering from his congregation at the end of last year. Yesterday, Dr. Klaus-Dieter John came to express his thanks on behalf of the association and to present the hospital project to the church.
The missionary doctor was visibly impressed by the nave of the church building which dates back to 1275. It is also worth the trip to Theuma/Vogtland to see the altar, dating back to 1520.
The congregation was very generous yesterday and presented Dr. John with over 500€. Frau Kempe of the Vogtland Anzeiger newspaper promised to report on the unforgettable evening.
