We thank God and our employees
We look back on an eventful year. In many areas of work we have made progress. With 55 missionaries and 150 Peruvian employees, it was possible to extend the range of Diospi Suyana. Here are some of the highlights of the first six months.
On January 27, the 10,000th patient stepped over the threshold of the dental clinic. Since July 2010, already more than 21,000 patients were treated in the dental or eye clinic.
Since February 12, our ECG laboratory is in operation. The new facility for loading and long-term ECG is an investment of around 50,000 dollars.
In February, the new website for Diospi Suyana went online. Graphic artist Bernd Schermuly voluntarily worked for 100 hours on this project.
An unforgettable event was the inauguration of the Diospi-Suyana school on March 14. Nearly 800 guests celebrated in the sports hall of the school. On stage we see Pastor Santos (right) praying for the teachers of the institution. Beside the Pastor you can see the Director Christian Bigalke.
In April, technician Markus Rolli, strongly supported by Reinhard Berger of Köln – Germany, installed the third sterilizer in Operations tract. All three devices have been donated by the company Lautenschlager.
The President Ollanta Humala landed on May 30 with his helicopter on the grounds of the hospital. After the tour of the hospital, the President, excited about what he had seen, departed in the afternoon.
On June 5, the presidential couple gave the John mission doctors and Dr. Jens Haßfeld a 30-minute audience at the Government Palace.
Through the initiative of Stefan Seiler, a team of “Sportsman calls Sportsman ” (SRS) traveled to Curahuasi in June. The guests from Germany visited most of the schools of the town. During the half times of the games they talked about their faith in Jesus Christ.
Since the 25th of June, our new CT Scanner works. Lyndal Maxwell brightened visibly on this progress. In March 2013, nearly 100,000 visitors to the last ProChrist evening had donated the most share of the purchase of the device. The Peruvian company Tecnasa renounced the import of 16-slice system on any winnings.
Udo Klemenz and his wife Barbara entered on June 27 again on German soil. The couple served six and a half years of their lives for the construction of the hospital, dental and eye clinic, the Diospi-Suyana children’s club´s and school. Since June 2014 Udo conducts the Engineer Civil Johannes Bahr that oversees various construction projects.
