The big festival of the Diospi-Suyana-Children’s-Club

Six unforgettable hour

Every year at the end of November a festive week is held to commemorate the founding of Curahuasi.  As part of these celebrations the Diospi-Suyana-Children’s-Club, under the leadership of Patricia Piepiora, organised a massive party in the amphitheatre.  Over 800 children and their parents were in attendance and for five hours one could see beaming children’s faces at the various attractions.  The weather contributed perfectly to the event.  The crowning finish was the performance of the musical about the prodigal son performed by the project-choir of the Colegio Diospi Suyana.  Sophia Oester had practised the piece with the young artists.  That evening a long caravan headed into the city.

The fantastic commitment of over 50 volunteers was well worth it.  No further words are needed if you look at the following pictures: enjoy!
