It was the first time that our containers had an armed escort
The clock had just struck 3p.m. when 2 articulated lorries transporting Containers #66+67 arrived at the hospital. It was the first time that our insurance company had demanded that they be accompanied by an armed escort. Perhaps understandable, since the total value of goods was USD0.67mio. Roughly 90% of the contents were donated by German companies over the past few months. Our logistics- and workshop-teams worked exceptionally hard until nightfall unloading everything.
Today, Friday, some volunteers headed by Olaf Böttger and some staff members from our home office drew up a list of contents of Container#68 that should be packed up next week in Wiesbaden.
A cordial Dankeschön to all our friends, missionaries and staff, all of whom worked in an exemplary fashion.
