A full house and a contemplative atmosphere
The company Christmas party has a long tradition at Diospi Suyana. Around 220 employees gathered in the hospital church yesterday evening. At the same time the school celebrated with around 70 participants.
The program offered a mixture of European and Latin American elements. Seriousness and fun alternated. The focus on the true occasion of Christmas was not neglected. The management thanked all employees for their loyal service. They had contributed significantly to Diospi Suyana’s success. Carols, surprises and presents were of course part of the evening’s proceedings. The main course (turkey) and the dessert tasted delicious. There was more than enough for everyone. As every year, the missionaries served their Peruvian colleagues.
The end of 2024 was spectacular in many ways. All branches of work were blessed by God beyond our own imagination. In his review of the year, Dr. John showed photos from 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2007, among others. From humble beginnings, a missionary hospital emerged that many describe as the most modern hospital of its kind. God gave the vision and made its realization possible. He deserves our thanks. All the protagonists of this work will one day be buried and forgotten. But the memory of God’s actions in the history of Diospi Suyana will survive the years. /KDJ
