Christian and Gudrun Heuchert arrived in Curahuasi

The civil engineer gave an honest answer to an important question – and that was it!

It was June 6, 2024, an ideal summer day without extreme temperatures. After the missionary doctor’s lecture in a church in Pforzheim, many conversations took place in small groups. “What do you do for a living?” Dr. John asked one of the guests present. – “I’m a civil engineer!” In view of the upcoming school expansion, this information was extremely important.

The Pforzheimers are now in Curahuasi. After a delicious lunch at the home of the Lächele family, a tour of the building site followed as a kind of dessert. In a few weeks’ time, engineer Christian will be instructing the construction workers. His wife Gudrun, an experienced nurse, will be working in hospital. We wish the Heucherts all the best and a good start in the new world /KDJ

The Heucherts are given a guided tour of the construction site by Udo Klemenz.
