Two years and one week after buying the frequency in Abancay

For two years we have fought against the difficulties that the pandemic has brought about, with corona-illnesses in our own ranks and several complaints from the authorities.  The testing of our patience was almost unbearable and could have been compared with attrition tactics from an invisible enemy.  But yesterday the big breakthrough occurred.  The inhabitants of the entire capital of Apurímac State and surrounding regions can now tune into the quality programmes broadcast by Diospi Suyana Radio 24/7.

Chris Welch, from Australia, sent his congratulations.  It is thanks to him that our radio channel has turned into something great in Southern Peru.  To date Peruvians living in 5 States can follow our broadcasts live through various devices.

We thank everyone who put in a lot of work and effort over the past few weeks in order to bring this result about. Just before flying to Europe physician Christian Oswald oversaw important preparation works.  The crew around Klaus-Peter Werner from our workshops put in a tremendous amount of work and was always at the ready when an extra pair of hands were needed.

Satellite technician Luis Condori, electronics technician Felix Rios and Isaac Panez from our media centre spent most of their weekend on a cold, 4,000m-high mountain.  The combined effort was to be worth it.

We take our media work as a present from God’s hand.  With God’s help we want to continue to grow until one day many million Peruvians can listen to the “best message that exists” in their houses, flats and cars.
