She has only just arrived and is already integrated into society
Anika Kunz smiles winningly into the camera. She has just disembarked from the aeroplane and proudly holds all her luggage – it was not easy getting everything through customs! Her journey from Frankfurt via Madrid to Lima took more than 15 hours. Two acquaintances from a friend of hers are waiting for her, holding a huge sign: “Anika”. Among the many new-arrivals she is probably the only one with this name.
She spends her first few days with Peruvian friends. Of course she eagerly attends a Christian cell group meeting. Her quick acclimatisation into Peruvian culture could fall into the category “turbo-integration”.
The nurse from Hanau (a good 30 minutes drive east of Frankfurt) has a feather in her cap, which many other missionaries do not have: as a schoolgirl she spent one year in Argentina: simply brilliant! We wish our new team member a good start and look forward to welcoming her in Curahuasi.
