Different Countries, Different Names

It’s too funny

Our doctors personally take their patients from the waiting room to their offices.  With the chart in hand, they read the names aloud.  Quite often immediately follows some amusement as the Quechua Indians enjoy themselves with a light-hearted chuckle.  For the staff from Europe and the North America it is often simply impossible to choose the correct pronunciation.  How would you pronounce Yobani Huillcahuaman?  Or try it with Tomasa Choquehuanca Alccamari.  If these names are too tough, you can practice Felipe Orccosupa.

However, Peruvians have the same difficulties when they talk to the foreign employees.  Yesterday, I received an invitation from UTEA University.  The letter was addressed to Claus Dieterson Jhon.  My correct name is Klaus-Dieter John.  My wife and I sometimes just have to laugh out loud.  The important thing is that we all can usually figure out what the other is trying to say.
