Dear Friends,

Last week I was telling you that we had a long weekend ahead of us. Well, that proved to be false! To celebrate Friday’s holiday, there were parades and festivities on the Plaza de Armas all day long. On Saturday, the container with the hospital workshop equipment arrived at 9:30am, and we spent the next seven hours unloading it. On Sunday from 10am until about 3pm, there was an open air worship service at the amphitheater. It was all very nice but exhausting!

And then on Monday the construction continued. Walls and ceiling of the future hospital workshop are plastered. Next week the two trainees from the Kaltenbach company (who donated the equipment) can start installing the equipment.

Building B (main entrance, church and hospital lab) is currently our main focus. The church is growing skywards and the first window openings are visible. Regarding the lab construction, we are still pouring concrete for support beams and laying bricks for the walls.

In the west wing of the ward, we are working on the second floor ceiling.

Many greetings from Curahuasi and God bless,

Udo
