During the last few months, boxes and packages arrived at the Stoss Medica warehouse in Wiesbaden, Germany where Detlev Hofmann sorted and prepared the goods for shipping.
On Friday, a team of old-time Diospi Suyana volunteers, lead by Diospi Suyana Board President Olaf Böttger, started to load container # 32. Wolf-Dietrich Klein, Konrad Böttger and Detlev Hofmann were doing quite a bit of heavy lifting. Dr. Heike Lindacher, who until recently worked at the hospital in Curahuasi, dropped of a donated light in person.
Thanks to the connections of Annemarie Mikolassek from DHL in Hamburg, Germany, the French shipping company CMA CGA will bring the container to Peru – free of charge.
Now, about $200.000 worth of goods, most of them donations, are on their way to South America. Over half of the amount was donated by DT & Shop; the dental company provided us all the materials needed to run the Diospi Suyana dental lab for one full year.
This container full of donated goods exampifies love, generosity and willingness to help. We are thankful to God for all the donations and volunteers, both a proof of utter unselfishness and altruism.
