An excellent way to get to know Diospi Suyana during the vacations

Five days of vacation school

Colloquially one would say: “How brilliant was that!” Over 200 children, most of them not from the Diospi Suyana School, took part in a colourful group program at the Colegio. After a plenary session, the program continued in six different age groups. Crafts, painting, theater and sports required the active participation of the girls and boys.

One of the great classics of world literature, Gideon from the Old Testament, served as the ongoing story.

In this context, the physicist Arthur Schawlow, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1981 for his work on laser spectroscopy, was quoted. He said: “We can count ourselves lucky that we have the Bible and especially the New Testament, which tells us so much about God in largely understandable human terms!” (Quoted in: Henry Margenau, Roy Varghese: Cosmos, Bios, Theos. La Salle (IL): Open Court Publishing, 1992, page 107)

His most famous statement is: “I see a need for God in the universe and in my own life!” (I find a need for God in the universe and in my own life.)
