No tumor and fewer worries
In the CT image above, the viewer can see a large tumor on the left side, which corresponds to the patient’s right lower abdomen. A radiologist found it to be 10 cm x 6.5 cm. Donna Hilaria has given birth to seven children and there is no doubt that she is tough. She lives in the mountains of southern Peru in a small wooden house. She had been suffering from severe right-sided abdominal pain for months and was feeling increasingly weak. The long journey to the Diospi Suyana Hospital should be worth it for her.
On January 13, general surgeon Dr. Lukas Steffen removed the tumor. On January 19, she was allowed to go home to her family. At the follow-up examination yesterday, she was full of praise and deeply grateful. We congratulate the whole team on the successful outcome.
