Hand injuries are very common among the rural population of Peru. Sometimes, these injuries result in cicatrization which in turn result in restriction of finger mobility.
In our case, visiting surgeon Dr. Kühn was able to help. He transplanted three little pieces of underarm skin, which helped to straighten out the finger.
This is Dr. Kühn’s second assignment at the Diospi Suyana hospital. The missionary hospital also welcomes anesthesiologist Dr. Prisca Schneider, who joins Diospi Suyana for the first time.
