Two snapshots on Sunday afternoon

It is Sunday afternoon at around 5 pm. The patient in the intensive care bed has spent several hours in the operating theater. Her condition is critical. Intensive care nurse Gabriel Maurer will not leave her side for the next few hours. Intensive prayers were said for the patient during the Easter service in the morning.
The boy (pictured below) was taking part in a horse race yesterday. At full gallop, he collided with a car and fell onto his back with great force. A computer tomogram shows a suspected brain haemorrhage.
By the end of March, the number of patient visits had increased to 623,088. As the overview shows, they came from all federal states. The southern departments of Apurimac, Cusco, Puno, Madre de Dios, Arequipa and Ayacucho account for the majority of patients.
Our surgeons have performed over 20,000 operations so far. As soon as neurosurgery is up and running, we will use the second floor as a second ward again. Even if the work of the missionary hospital is not appreciated in every news item, our missionaries and Peruvian employees do an exemplary job day after day.
Diospi Suyana owes its high profile in Peru to the hospital. It is the most modern missionary hospital in South America. And patients still only pay 4 soles (1 euro) to be examined by a doctor in the outpatient rooms. /KDJ
