Something new every day from the world of Diospi Suyana
The pick-up (see above photo) has already been paid for and should be delivered within two weeks. With the appropriate modifications the Hilux will function as a mobile workshop for Diospi Suyana’s transmitting stations. Many people supported us in buying the vehicle. The State will reimburse us the 18% sales tax, the company Toyota reduced the price by USD5k, the missionary society Pioneers based in Sydney had transferred AUD10k a couple of weeks ago and a very generous Australian family will make a generous donation in the next few days. In others words this project was a joint effort made possible by the State, a global company, a missionary society and a private family – it can hardly get better than that!
Yesterday the Peruvian company Corona made its second substantial donation in kind. The bandages are a big help in the day to day running of the hospital.
Three days earlier than expected. The container ship was due to arrive in Callao Port on Friday. We hope that our Container#63 will be released by customs within two weeks, since many of us cannot wait for its contents to finally arrive at the missionary hospital.
