A new leadership team for our cub-scouts

People buzzing with drive

Last weekend a fire desk and seating possibilities were set up in the grounds of our children’s club.  Not even one screw was used to fasten the wooden beams together.  One could think that cub-scouts were involved and one would not be far wrong.

Since 2015 the pupils of the Diospi-Suyana-School discover new paths and experience the world around them from a totally different viewpoint compared to what they learn in the classroom.  This year we offered holiday workshops to children who do not attend our school.

An impressive result is worth celebrating.

This year is our fourth cub-scout year and it is an appropriate juncture for some new blood in the leadership team.  The Starters’ Workshop on Saturday was just the right thing, since it whetted the cub-scout appetite of our five new leaders.  In a couple of hours the crew learnt the most important cub-scout principles and together they constructed the impressive-looking construction on the above photo.

Everybody gets hungry.

At the end of the day the fire desk was used.  In the ashes we roasted delicious pizza-baguettes and drank Muña tea.  Muña, which is similar to our menthol, grows in Curahuasi at an altitude of 3,000m – the ideal brew for cub-scouts.

Our team is highly motivated.  Together they want to further and support the children emotionally and spiritually.  And everyone should know that each individual is important, since God loves them.  (Taken from a report written by DC).
