Hundreds-of-thousands watch the Wonder of Curahuasi
ATV is one of Peru’s biggest television channels. For 11 minutes last Saturday ATV reported on Diospi Suyana. Hours later the programme was broadcast a second time. Quoting the TV-reporter the hospital is a “Monument of Solidarity.”
In the documentary patients were interviewed and praised the missionary hospital to the skies. Reports like this are one cause that the queues in front of the hospital grow exponentially and stretch our staff’s capacity to breaking-point.
In his interview Dr Klaus John talks about the main motive of our work: “We do not want to believe vaguely in God, but want to experience him actively in our daily lives!” The fruits of this faith cause people living in many Peruvian Provinces to travel to the Andean city of Curahuasi. Diospi Suyana cannot meet the massive demands of all those seeking help. Thus the missionary hospital lives under God’s blessing and continues to be dependent on Him in order to meet with Christian love all the huge challenges it encounters.
