The stranger in the underground

How Peter Sievers found his way

Over the past ten years Peter and Karmen Sievers have been following the development of Diospi Suyana.  During their tour of South America back in 2005 they almost stopped off in Curahuasi, but as the construction of the hospital had not even started, a visit made no sense.  At the Medical Congress in Kassel the Sievers spoke to missionary doctors John.  Their story shows that even today God intervenes in our lives in the most amazing ways.

Peter Sievers says: “In the Spring of the year 2000 I worked as a physiotherapist in Neuss.  I was very unhappy with my job and was considering what other options I had.  While contemplating what I should do with my life and what I should do for a living I prayed for God’s leading.

One evening in the Düsseldorfer Underground I was again lost in thought when suddenly an elderly lady, I had never seen before, approached me: “Sorry, that I interrupt you.  I have a close relationship with him up there and I should tell you that you should continue working in your current job.  God wants to use you there!””

Peter heard God speaking clearly to him through her words and with hindsight remarks: “It was this short conversation that kept me in my job.  After successfully completing two further medical qualifications I am now working as an osteopath.  Again and again I have experienced how God uses me for his purposes.  I am working there where he wants me!“
